1. The PMP Exam: Did you know Introduction

Introduction to the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam

PMP Exam Prep Information….Why should you try to become a PMP® ? I recall when I first heard about the certification and wondered exactly what it was.  I learned quickly that is was the gold standard for credibility in the project management profession. If you are a person that is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering project work and ultimately taming the craziness that can be a project environment, this might be the credential for you.

Ask yourself this…

Do you take vague concepts at work and turn them into reality?

Are you given the bigger, more important pieces of work at your job and expected to deliver?

Do people look to you for guidance on what’s next, or how to solve the next complex problem?

Do you like building things?

Are you good at pulling people together and getting more out of them than they thought possible?

If any of these sound like you, the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is likely a logical next career development step.  Degree or not, the PMP credential is a huge difference maker in the job market and isn’t slowing down anytime soon!
